You remember the Mitsu service tech guy on here awhile back? He was trying to justify Mitsubishi's insane part prices, unbelievable. This is like Range Rover pricing and Mitsubishi knows it. I'm not sure what type of business strategy this is besides extortion? Most of the Mirage's target consumer pool is on the financially vulnerable side of the spectrum, Mitsubishi should know this. The fact they take advantage with insane markups is why this will be my last Mitsubishi.

That price is bs right there.

I saw a good slogan on the tailgate of a pickup truck a couple days ago: "Everyone rides on used parts."

Might want to check some junkyards first.

Oh and the cheapest car one can own is one that is paid off.

Keep driving it - it's not yet time to sell just for a stupid fuel pump.

Mitsubishi sells really well in SE Asia. Surely there is an aftermarket supplier there?

Hmmm...It looks like that my first mechanic did use QBond. I looked back at my garage entry and had that problem back when I first got it from the auction in 2017.

I will have him seal it up and I will tell him to take down and put it back in until I get one myself.

And that is what makes ordering by mail so tricky. It'd be nice to compare the original to the replacement.
