    Well-played, sir. (I laughed, too)

But, Meth is highly addictive, and not likely to ever become a legal drug. Quite different from weed and alcohol. Although... I'd say that meth is closer to alcohol than it is to weed in the long-term physical effects that it has on the human body.

My baby sister was addicted to Meth for most of the 14 year period between when she was about age 14-28. I thought for sure that it was going to kill her. But, after multiple failed attempts at rehab, she finally made the decision to quit, and my Mom helped her through it at home. It took a good 6 months or more before she was able to function. She had a tremor and an eye twitch for about 3 years after that, it's mostly gone now. She's been clean for about 8 years now and is happily married with two kids. She was lucky. Very lucky.

    Just say no.
    Simplify and add lightness.

At my job, heroin addicts are an absolute joy to take care of vs meth users going through withdraw. I had one patient drop kick me in the back of my ribs during a major psychotic episode. I couldn't breathe comfortably for a week after that. At least with heroin addicts they're usually too sick to get violent with me, unless you count incontinence as violence.

Not meth, but amphetamines are legal as a controlled substance in the US, for ADHD and I think Narcolepsy.

It's been legal for years. Ritalin anyone? Basically same stuff.

    Crack!?

I found a crack pipe (I think... are they used for other drugs?) in a gazebo in my favourite riverside park this summer. First time I've seen anything more serious than some empties laying about after a Friday/Saturday night.

Loren: so glad to hear your sister's story ended well. Addictions suck.*

(*Excepting of course Mitsubishi Mirage addiction.)
