    I am not sure of this but with the switch being in the wiper handle it might screw up your computer readings.

    Hey nutpantz. I just removed my rear wiper and checked the connector (photo attached). It's extremely dark in the underground parking structure where I live but I think I what I was seeing was a fairly steady 2.5 volts on the top two traces and the bottom two are ground. With the ignition ON but the rear wiper switch on the steering column OFF, the line is hot. I did not measure any change when the rear wiper switch was turned to the ON position.

    As a Skywarn spotter i clean my windows and use rain-x and hardly ever use a wiper, it also helps with keeping snow and ice from sticking to the windows.

    sorry for the late upload, but this is the cover is used after removing my rear wiper.
    I believe it has several colors or if you want you can repaint it to your color liking.
