I dont blame people for wanting a base model car @ $13k. All I'm saying is that if Mitsu can add the items I listed and sell @ $15k, I'd be sold to buy another one or two.
When I purchased my mirage at '14, it was what I wanted at the time (alloys + push button start + MT). After driving several vehicles with some safety/convenience features that I (initially) thought were gimmicks, I now want them on my daily.
Hell, I cant even get alloys, PBS, and MT anymore...
My car before my 2014 Mirage (2014-present) was a '98 Ford Escort wagon. And all the safety features, and ABS integrated, such and such really makes a world of difference. I love the 5 speed in my Mirage, and I find my hatch very versatile.
I could almost not fit my new marked-down 50" Sharp TV, but it did fit, and my 3 ply webber ladder fits into my Mirage with the hatch closed. So the car can do lots with just being basic and stock 100% like my car.
One day I would like a bigger freeway cruiser of some sort. Keep my Mirage for roundabout chores almost like a golf cart in town role. Then buy some sort of nice sedan for cruising. If I look at used cars around $8-12, lots of options, from Alfa spyders to newer Buicks. You name it really in that price range.
Things I tire of my Mirage as well as love, since my Mirage has been my sole car the past 7 years almost.
