When I first bought my de I took off the hub caps because I cracked one parallel parking against the granite curbs in my neighborhood. Within the first day that I drove my car two different parties of people pointed and laughed he's driving on Donuts. I had already ordered wheels and tires for my car that got mounted two days later, but I thought it was hilarious..

    ^haha!

Today as I was heading into the grocery store, a little girl was interested in my car. The colour makes it really appeal to little kids. I heard her mom say "cars don't just come like that". False! #plasmapurple

Once I went to a mechanic in a slum neighborhood on Long Island. Before I could say anything, he said: "Oh, a Mirage. Cool."
Mirage DE, Red, 5-speed manual, VIN ML32A3HJ7EH007818. Purchased new 07/19/2014.

The Mazda 2 FB page I was on had a lot of negative things to say when I announced I bought this instead. Most of them boiled down to it being fugly and underpowered. A few people were worried about it going turtle through the corners. However my boss told me today that it looks like it has a lisp so I want to put some buck teeth on for pics at least. Between it and the Miata I have heard a lot of hairdresser comments from other employees already this week.

Same car, same color, same experiences--EZ to find; other cars seem in black and white movies. At underpass, though, a woman stopped in other direction was driving an identical Mirage.
Her mouth made a big O.

He was, once again, comparing it to a 1993 Explorer. The mirage isn't fast - compared to modern cars. It's not slow compared to an SUV from the early 1990's.

Overheard snippet of conversation between 2 guys in a pickup truck:

"Look at the tiny wheels on that car!!"
