You guys are so lucky you dont have a MAF. Means you can make mods the car much easier without having to throw everything off. I'd love to have something to upgrade the intake and get rid of the ugly stock air box. I dont want to kill mpg though. I also dont care if it does nothing for performance if it makes it sound better.

Is it plug n play, or need some mod first? I have both mirage and xpander, maybe i'll try this if no mod needed.

I'm sure just like with most throttle upgrades you'll need to reset your throttle position sensor but thats about that only thing I could think you'd need to do.

In case anyone in the us was wanting to know it looks like those are Eclipse Crosses here

The person who posted this in a Thai FB group said it was converted.

Did not have any other details so I'm not sure how it was converted.

What would be the purpose of this throttle body mod? More air, more horsepower?

Does anyone has the link on FB for this modification? Tried googling it but to no avail.

Anyways i googled and found that the Xpander also uses a 4a91 engine. With this information i found a used 4a91 throttle body from a colt running 4a91 engine as well for cheap.

Plugged it in and nothing. The throttle body doesnt move. The wiring probably is different. Set an engine check light for throttle position sensor. Which i managed to clear.

I am surfing around indonesian website and found several used ones on shopee. They are pricier as the car is still new. Before i commit i want to ensure that the wiring side is plug and play for the Xpander throttle body.

Photo looks like they made an adapter for this swap. You'd also need to port match the intake manifold to the throttle body, or else you will actually lose performance.
