Apparently the 2021 SE model has padded door armrests. Might be able to order those parts cheap enough from the dealer and put them on your car?

yeah I might do that. I'm taking it to the dealer on Monday to get my pinstripes installed and to check out the rear taillights, there is more water than I'm comfortable with in them.

I thought the cheap Chinese armrests used the rear cupholder as its main mounting location?

It does. But they have a pull out type of holder on the back to allow it to hold cups. Here's a pic:

Here's a slightly different take, it works just as well and it was the first one I got with my original 2019 Mirage I got from Carvana.

I have the Mitsubishi factory installed center armrest, & it uses the rear cupholder for installation. Some of the larger, cheaper Chinese center armrests have a built in cupholder to replace the one that is lost, but the factory one is small & really doesn't offer that. You could set a cup on the underside of the lid when flipped open, but it wouldn't keep something in place very well.

You can't rest your right elbow on a factory armrest & steer the car. I'm 6'1", & I can just barely touch the steering wheel with my finger tip when my right elbow is rested on it. I wouldn't waste my money on the factory center armrest, unless it's the style that's mounted to the side of the driver's seat. From what I see others sharing, the aftermarket center armrest are better for resting your arm!

    Welcome and congrats!

I like that you got the Sport Package body kit. I would also opt for that as i think it makes the 2021 Mirage look a little more aggressive than what it already is compared to the previous versions. Yellow really pops, it looks great!
