    Oil/Grease near fuel injector

    Hi there,

I noticed something from around the fuel injector which i didnt saw before.

Thought it was rust at first but when i slipped my finger its like oily dirt around it but only on one of the injectors, the other ones doesnt have.

Im just wondering if it has any indications or what, but the engine runs fine.

Is this normal and not something to worry about?

If it becomes oily, you could start looking for a leak.
The injectors themselves have an O-ring at the top and bottom, but they shouldn't cause any problems. If you really do want to remove the injectors, make sure everything is clean before dismantling. When putting them back, apply a bit of silicone grease or at least engine oil on the O-rings so they do not get damaged. Look at the FSM for details.

I think I would start by checking that the cam cover is tight, wash the area clean & run it for several days & recheck. It doesn't look to bad. You can also get a dye to put in your oil that glows under a UV light, but start with the above & see how bad it is. Injector "O" rings are usually a fuel / vacuum leak, not oil...

I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything
