Augh - you're absolutely right, and I didn't even think of it. I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football.

I was focused on trying to bring together all the posts placed in various threads and couldn't easily settle on how to go about it. What irony. It's the best.

Is it too late to say Fummins made me do it?

It really is. After all, how far can we carry CVT discussions? Pretty far apparently.

I have no problem sharing my opinion, & I own a manual.

I admire those who ask questions about a new car purchase. Many people buy vehicles, & they couldn't tell you if it's a CVT or automatic.

Like I said before, we can only speculate about cars we don't have here. I sought out reviews of the Mirage before buying one. It also led me to this forum. I felt European reviews of the Mirage were done much better than ones done here. I think Europeans value & appreciate small cars way more than us.

How a Jatco CVT will hold up in a Suzuki is worth exploring. I feel any power train shared with a Prius is pretty solid & proven. If a new vehicle shared a CVT used in any Prius, I would lean in that direction.

I like what Suzuki offers. I wish they were still here, but I would only buy their manuals.

I don't have a problem with asking suzuki questions on a Mirage forum.

My sister has a Suzuki Kazashi at 34,000 mikes her transmission, Jatco JF011e is failing. Lurching gears harsh, surging. New fluid fixes it for 6,000 miles then it returns. So No. And I have belt sounds and skipping on my 19 Mirage CVT when cold

Where are the questions about problems coming from? I don't get it.

    Must be covid related.

That would explain it, especially since that thread got locked.

Oh and sorry for apparently making you look stupid. I never intended for that to happen much less think it would be possible.

Now if I could only figure out how to animate an avatar here...

Have you or your sister tried taking the Kazashi to a transmission shop such as Aamco for service? It might be something simple. I see a Kazashi running around these parts from time to time. Maybe there's a reason why Suzuki isn't around here anymore.

And what about your 2019 Mirage - have you had your dealer look at it? Sounds like it could be serious.
