Mirage Evo mockup by topgear phillipines

I was doing some research and came across this magnificent render:

Can't imagine mitsubishi actually doing this sadly...

That looks like a ton of fun.

Agreed: it will remain just a dream.

You'll be able to get these - not direct from Mitsubishi, though. And it certainly won't be road-legal or very comfortable.

This Polish company has been selling modified Mirage's for rallying for some time. I think you're looking at $40-50K for the thing at the end of the day. They even have some mockups on their site now that show what they would expect a 2021 model to look like. My guess is they haven't actually made one yet as they are custom built to order.

The render on the site you linked is pretty clean looking, but with independent suspension, AWD, and that muffler/exhaust setup, where did the fuel tank go?

I'd 100% buy one and all they'd have to do from that is keep the looks, give me a nice 6 speed manual and slap a turbo on the stock 1.2 and aim for around 130hp and i'd be fine. Car would need to cost no more than around $25k though and thats the bigger issue.
