I need to rename this thread "spent over $1,930 on my Mirage in the past 12 months.."

I'm happy with my new tires. Got fuel economy down to 4.9 L / 100 kms, and getting good numbers in the city: 5.5 and in heavy traffic. I'm not in city traffic very often, but Mirage is agile.

    4.9 L/100km (48 mpg) is really good!

I didn't realize that Kumho made two all-weather tires (Solus HA31 & Solus HA32) that were so similar in design (both directional).

Looking at the quattrotires.com site - Kumho Solus HA31, Kumho Solus HA32, and Dunlop Enasave are their only 165/65r14 all-season or all-weather choices listed today, & the Kumho tires are about half the price of Dunlop tires. Quattro Tires lists 7 different winter tire choices, however.

We pretty much will only find the 165/65r14 Kumho Solus TA31 tire here (States), & it's just your typical all-season tire with a decent 60,000 mile warranty. It's also not directional or asymmetrical.

I wish we had a few more the other Kumho tire choices (all-weather & winter/snow) here.

Glad to hear you like your new Kumho tires! I think Kumho has developed a good reputation of being a decent mid-price tire company.

I hear good things from javensbukan's experiences with the Solus. The grip is good.

I bought this armrest off a seller on Amazon. Very gracious seller, they e-mailed me personally, and sent a few pictures to make sure I was sure this was for the car I wanted.

For me, it surely will be nice to add a bit of leather comfort to my Mirage's hard plastic'y interior. Next step is left arm elbow rests. Have to be small I discovered because the armrest space on the door is minimal

I have the same center armrest. It is very nice, but I needed to add a foam pad on top to make it higher.

Glad to hear it fits first hand, thanks roscoe1972. Looking forward to more comfort.

I do actually use the rear seat cupholder for my thermos water bottle, but I will figure out something new to sacrifice my cupholder for comfort. I test drove a used A4 before my Mirage and that car had a very nice centre armrest, so I get how much better this will make my Mirage seem. It'll be a mirage what I'm driving lol.

Do you do anything for your left elbow spot, like on the door? Hard plastic is annoying

I got my new right armrest for my Mirage in the mail today. I like that it's removable. Ebrake is now a bit awkward to engage/disengage so for short trips I might not have the armrest in.

I also like the aftermarket ashtray that's removable, and has a holder for your smoke. I would never smoke in my Mirage of course.

Overall I am happy about it.
It's all cut out to fit perfect with the Mitsubishi Mirage-specs.. like it's a true perfect fit like weathertech mats.
So my Mirage improvement 2021 is now totalling: $1,822

    Winter Tires - $630
    Summer Tires - $425
    Armrest from Amazon $70
    Front brakes - $510
    Cabin Air Filter - $17
    Oil Sprayed - $125
    3 Bosch Wipers - $45

Yes, it's a typo: I paid $512.46 total, so $266 in parts, $187 in labour, $58.96 in HST. Splurge of the moment upsell on Mountain Tire's part. Brakes needed doing. I would have paid less at my local mechanic. They got me there and then.

That was the day I was talking to a 95 year old driver outside from out east originally.

Gotcha, I thought it seemed a little low.

Next time you could spend $400 in fuel(round trip) and I'll change them for a case of beer. I could probably even grab some rotors and pads for under $60.*
If I had a shop it wouldn't make money lol.
