Mitsubishi sold that factory in 2015 or left it to Chrysler.

I am pretty sure Rivian bought the plant.

Excerpt from wiki --> By September 2016, Rivian was negotiating to buy a manufacturing plant formerly owned by Mitsubishi Motors in Normal, Illinois.[19][22][23] In January 2017, Rivian acquired the plant and its manufacturing contents for $16 million, with the plant to become Rivian's primary North American manufacturing facility.[19][20][22][24] Rivian's acquisition of a near production-ready facility instead of building a new factory has been likened to Tesla's acquisition of the NUMMI plant in California

Mitsu might sell its only North American plant (Normal, IL, USA)

If the spring is stiffer, it would reduce body roll.

Also might be a change to address suspension sag with a full load of passengers? More than a few owners have complained about bottoming out the back end.

Or just a different supplier, as Christopher_B says. Who knows!
