FYI: Shocks and struts are available from more than one maker. These are top of the hitlist:

    KYB-Asia
    Front: 3320014 (OEM 4060A379; 4060A345))
Rear: 348083 (for practically all rear OEM sorts, reduces bounce)

    Tokico (OEM brand)
    Front: B1109 (OEM 4060A345 / 4060A379)
Rear: The softer sort: E20040 (OEM 4162A199) and the better somewhat harder sort: E 20041 (OEM 4162A256)

    Sellers include: www.fitinpart.sg _ www.startmycar.co.za

I imported my replacements and it was well worth the effort and not really expensive either!

    Thanks for posting that, foama.

I just looked and neither site shows inventory for Mirage/Space Star.

How about these? Thats where I got mine from, and they weren't expensive either, including customs and freight to Europe from the other side of the globe.

    and: https://www.fitinpart.sg/index.php?r...=E20041&show=0 (alternative rear shocks)

The first rear shocks are sold out.

The other Tokicos are available, however. Thanks.

There are several ways to reduce this rocking. Even though the VW springs would raise the car, the rocking is reduced because the springs are stiffer. Another cheap and easy (and compoundable) fix is to install an anti sway bar. Stiffer lowering springs can help. Some have tried this: https://www.airliftcompany.com/shop/60724/

Yes. Also with the lane to the right. I have the Daox sway bar and Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs and it still rocks waiting in a turn lane.

If it isn’t broke fix it until it is.

Thanks for the tip Fummins, went to a different shop for a second opinion and was told their was nothing wrong with my rear shocks.
