Has anyone tapped 12V from OverHead?

I pulled down both items from the overhead. It looks simple enough. I did not have my tools at the time so I could find a switched 12V wire, but I'm guessing there's one there.

I added a phone holder to the mirror, the phone hangs just under the mirror. I'd like to drop a power line down from above coming out of the front of the headliner (unseen) for a clean install, no wires hanging down to the APO. As well as a power line down for my dash cam.

Just wondering if anyone has tapped from up here before and has any advice.

I have for a automatic dimming mirror. The wires are super thin and I don't know what kind of amperage they'll support so I'd recommend running a phone cord or dash camera cord up the a pillar and across the windshield (tucking it up under the headliner) for those. That's what I did.

Yeah, maybe a good idea. That's what I did in my truck for the dash cam...

I wanna say I ran a fuse tap from the fuse box (of course), up the A-Pillar to the center of the headliner. Thanks for the reminder.

I installed a rear dome off the front dome wiring. There's plenty of current there to use.
