Almost $8,990 for a 2015 DE (base model) with 86,000 miles?!?

The fact that your Mirage only depreciated $200 after almost 4 years of ownership is pretty amazing. I realize you invested in some aftermarket items, too.
The nice thing about driving older vehicles like your Yaris is insurance. At some point, a person can just drop it down to only liability insurance. At that point, your cheap transportation becomes even cheaper!
The Mirage fills a niche that other companies are shying away from. The competition has really dwindled the past few years. I think this will impact the used market, & we may be seeing that already.

Yea, insurance is a racket. We're paying for all those nice buildings insurance companies own plus a whole lot of other things for agents, admin, etc before one dollar gets paid out in claims. Add to that if you collide with someone who doesn't have any, that's a mess beyond any damage that was done to you and/or your vehicle.
