Red face Picking up my Mitsubishi Attrage today

    Hi

I'm British but living in Thailand. I've just bought my red Attrage (G4) GLS CVT and picking it up today. It's made at the Laem Chabang factory here in Thailand just 10kms from my home so it hasn't had far to come. I paid 500,000 baht for it ($15,000 US) with free insurance. For that money i think it's got a great level of specification - auto a/c, KOS, push button engine start etc. I don't think there is much more i would want on the car. Plus it looks great IMO.

I've always driven manuals so not sure about the CVT but most people seem to like them. Here in Thailand they don't offer the GLS with a manual shift. I guess with the heavy traffic here an auto is a good idea. Hoping for some good petrol (gas) consumption figures. I doubt i'll match the 22 kms/litre quoted by Mitsubishi.

Will give some progress reports after a few weeks use.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the Attrage! You're one of the first few owners we have on the board. We would love to see some pictures.

What made you choose the car? Anything else in contention?

Thanks for the best wishes. I am really pleased with the car it seems much nicer than a entry level eco car. Very smooth ride and comfortable seats.

The other two cars i considered were the Nissan Micra and the Honda Amaze. I wasn't really keen on the styling of the Micra and Honda here in Thailand were not willing to offer any discounts, free insurance etc. In any event the price and specification of the Attrage was so much better than the competition it was an easy choice. In the UK you would never get a car with that spec for 9,000 GBP ($15,000).

Mitsubishi were excellent in their promotions and preparation of the car.
