    Snowblowers; what ya got?

So I sold my 10yr old MTD 24" two stage. It had a 208cc engine and didn't owe me anything after almost a decade of service it was still running well but decided I'm going to upgrade this year.

Top contender is an Ariens 30" deluxe with the 306cc engine and heated grips. 14" impellers and clears 72 tons and hour.

Also looking at Toro but their plastic joystick is not to my liking as much as the Ariens metal simpler set up.
Plus Ariens is local to my area.

    Who has what.

I have a small engine repair shop (thus the need for a small engine car). I don't have a snow blower, I just road test every body else's But Trust me, hands down the Ariens.
I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything

Good to hear from a guy working on the stuff. Yeah it's pretty much for sure what I'm getting.

I've had a Ariens push mower for 9 seasons now and it's still awesome.

This is mine. Its an early 70s Simplicity 728. The blower is obviously a single stage. I think its 30 or 32". I converted the tractor to electric over 10 years ago now. Absolutely love it. However, I typically shovel just for exercise.

I have an MTD 26" snowblower, I want to say it's a 247 cc but may be the identical motor as you got. I'm happy with it, only use the blower when I need it. I just do half my driveway.. and it's the front part where snow gets all hard, and is impossible to shovel.

Let's not talk about snow haha

We don't get the Manitoba flies here in Ontario. Northern Ontario probably does. Ontario is like Toledo Ohio all the way to polar bear country.

I'm so glad I visited Alberta in May 2019, considering the pandemic and everything, and how I postponed a vacation for years. Every Canadian should visit the Rockies.

I use an old garden tractor to cut an acre of grass with a 42" snowblower attachment on it for the snow, driveway's deep & wide.Bought them used and rigged a power lift for the blower using a cheap 12 volt winch.Added 12 volt power window/antenna motors to turn/point the chute too.
