She doesn't know yet. I want to surprise her. She's familiar with our Mirages and has commented she really likes the G4, but I know with all the art shows she does she needs the utlility of the hatch.

For a second I thought about selling mine but it doesn't owe me a dime. And what would I replace it with, something used that gets worse mileage and possibly be another nickle and dime-mobile.

I'll likely keep the Mirage until the cvt craps out and probably splurge the extra $500 and throw a low mileage engine at the same time and make it go for another 300,000kms easily. Or until the kids start driving and smash it up to the point of it not being salvageable.

I'm pretty tempted to put a sign in mine. But then I'd have to clean it [I haven't touched it since I got it]. Too many projects!

    Buy low!

    Sell high!

Seems like we are in that second phase!

High Mirage prices just make me appreciate what I have. I bought a new Mirage, because I knew I could pay it off in a year or less. I am hoping to go the next 10 years with no vehicle purchases (or car payments).

I rather own property & buy other things.

I just got the best trade in value for my 61k 20 Civic, 17.5k, and last Dec got only 13.5. So now I own an Outlander Sport!

Don't give Dirk any reason to give a new meaning to how to sell a car. Dirk, this is not referencing cigaweed.

Smart. I'm about to become a landlord. We'll see how I like it. Probably won't.

Good luck dude. I own a house that I rent out. Have had 4 tenants so far. First one was okay. Second one caused $35,000 worth of damage. Third one decided paying rent was optional... fortunately his dad is my friend and neighbor so he threatened his son to get the hell out which worked but I'm still owed like $3500. Finally, my parents live there now... they pay and take care of the place so I hope they stay there for a long time.

I was originally going to try to buy another house to fix up and rent out but after this pandemic and the eviction bans there's absolutely no way in hell I will ever go through that process when the system's one step of recourse against a deadbeat piece of garbage tenant basically gets banned "for the greater good" or whatever else you want to say. Doesn't matter if I can't afford the property tax, utilities, or whatever as that still has to be paid no matter what but the rent sure didn't have to. What a joke.
    -Karl B. No Mirages currently...

tried that in 07-10... not worth the stress, time and revengeful tenants will wipe out all "profit" ever made!
