Nice! I work as a firefighter/paramedic and the go to medical guys in our service are the guys who worked in the ER as techs. They start the best IVs.

Thank you and yes it pays a lot better than being a CNA but that's only because its a travesty what they pay CNAs lol. Next step is Processing Lab Specialist, which will take another 6 months to get certified in. I thought about the RN program but I can't afford another 4 years of college plus IV lines terrify me.

EMTs have it the roughest as HCW in my opinion. Having to go to dangerous situations and seeing a lot of death, especially car accidents. I'm not sure what the rules are in Florida but in Georgia only RNs and Physicians are allowed to set up IVs in most situations. I guess EMTs too in route.

Sorry it just came out in the course of the conversation, my mind runs all over the place lol. Casey, don't let your firefighter buddies give you any sh#t about your new Mirage. Its a workhorse with a tough ******* of an engine. Besides you get to ride in my dream car, a Fire Truck. What's the top speed in one of those? Can you drift in one?

Thankfully never drifted. That one is governed at 67mph.

In Florida, paramedics can start IVs in the field and in the hospital setting. Kind of cool thing as a paramedic, is we can do anything our medical director (a physician) authorizes us to do. We work under their license.

Hey Casey you've been putting up some impressive MPG numbers. What do you have your tires pumped up to? Can't remember if you increased your tire pressure or not.
