Sorry. Wasn't implying mileage caused it. Just annoyed since I have a few other vehicles with well over 200 and never had to replace the radiator.
I find it surprising that your radiator has sprung a leak - at any mileage. Are coolant systems pressurized at operating temperatures like old times?
You've had some interesting failures. Correct me if I'm wrong or miss any.
1. AC compressor bearing failure
2. Radiator leak

Radiators ain't made like they used to be. They are all plastic and aluminum now...disposable.
I replaced the one in my '78 Ford truck last summer. Solid brass...weighed about 40 pounds!
I bought a used 84 Maxima and it had a casting flaw in the side of the engine block. I drilled a hole in the block and stuck a 5mm bolt in the hole.
Bought a brand new 84 Honda CRX serial #1018. It had an open circuit in the right side speaker harness, ran another wire.
It's more of a crap shoot with wear and tear parts with worldwide suppliers than it was in the old days of Timken bearings.
Brother #3 had a heater core replaced 14 months ago, now it's leaking again. The shop that did it was an old friend who died.
One of the reasons I quit was the ever increasing pressure to buy cheap crap. I couldn't deal with the failure rate without basically charging MORE for shoddy parts.
