Thats the one you had to replace the CVT on though right? Good to know the engines last at least. I wish the CVTs could last 200k miles, Jesus Christ!

You haven't had to replace your transmission, however. That sort of puts you in a league of your own!

Plus, no clutch complaints from you yet! You're still an inspiration to us manual drivers!

Don’t worry I think you’re special. I’m sure mark does too after that confession you made the other day

You’ll be the highest pretty soon. Our highest mileage car still stays in town now so won’t be hard to pass. If we’re going for original drivetrain records I’ll have to point to a gmc van with over 700k kms. I’ll fix(edit) this post next week if I’m wrong, but I believe it has the original motor and transmission. 4.8l 4l80. Gets oil change every 3 weeks/5000kms

I thought I had quite a bit with 68k miles on my 2015 I got in 2016 but that is not the case. Super glad I got the 5 speed now with all the CVT replacements. Just have to keep reminding myself it's worth it while I stop and go repeatedly in traffic LOL

Has anyone lined up stop and go traffic to dead CVT's?

What's up Dirk, you live in my neck of the woods?

I don't see any manual trans clutch change reports?

    So far just clutch cables.

And some broken damper springs on the clutch disk, I'm guessing caused by abuse.

I have a 5 speed manual Mirage myself 2014 bought new and no problems with the clutch 5 years 113,000 kms on the car. I was wondering the other day if there is a thread on the proportion of 5 speed manual Mirages sold in the USA and Canada compared to automatics, like 5 to 1? half and half?

Manual is a lot more interactive and fun I feel, and I felt almost obliged back when I bought my new Mitsubishi make it manual tranny, it didn't feel right otherwise.

Thread: Surprising garage stats: comparing numbers of CVT vs. manual Mirage owners

Check near the end of that thread. Survey of cars.com shows ~10-16% for sale are manuals.

    Forum members are about 50%.

Thanks MetroMPG, I will check this out. Only 10-16% are manuals eh, no surprise there. That's probably a high percentage compared to overall new car and truck sales across the board, except maybe for Subaru Impreza's and some Mustangs etc.
