Sorry Mark I wanted to show foama the price of my electricity, it's much cheaper in Canada.
Off peak is about 8c per kW/h and on peak is 17c per kW/h, so about 55% more money on peak than off peak. I run my dishwasher and other appliances off peak or try to. I'm not sure what the 1 or 5 or 10 year price average is on electricity in Canada, Delivery is like $43.41 of the total $73 monthly bill. When I moved here in 2013 I paid about $55, the same as in my old 1 bedroom with +hydro.
Living in the country helps with shade and leafy backyards, and my south-facing house.
