No, it looks like the proper o-ring for the cartridge filter to me. https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/part...526-3jx3a.html

31526-3JX3A Seal-O Ring is Lookup Code 31526QA in the diagram below

Might have to take my thanks' back.

I've always had pretty good luck on ebay. I've seen more scammy stuff on amazon or walfart 3rd party sellers.

Of course if something looks too good to be true it's probably just a really good deal and I should buy it before someone else does!

I was going by the sellers description. GENUINE OEM RE0F11A JF015E CVT Oil Cooler O-Ring Seal for Nissan (31526-3JX3A) It appears they don't know what they have. Here's what shows up on several Nissan dealer sites for that part number. https://parts.towncenternissan.com/p...526-3JX3A.html

I believe that the description maybe correct as I believe the fluid is filtered before going through the cvt cooler which can be see to the left of the filter in the diagram fummins shared( it’s the rectangular device with the 2 hoses for coolant coming out of it) it’s probably like this to prevent the heat exchanger(cooler) from clogging up.

The eBay listing I shared literally had a photo of the product with the serial number printed on it. You should obviously trust that instead of some poorly put together dealership website

I'd called AZ and they didn't have it nor could they order it so this morning I decided to call AAP (about 1.5 miles from my house) to see if they had it and they said they could order it so I've got 2 of them on order for $1.99 each. I didn't ask what the brand/part number was but when I get them Monday afternoon I'll post the part number. Hopefully this will help someone else out in the future.

The o rings I ordered from AAP came in today but they were not correct. They were the o ring for the pan filter so I'll post the part number and size in case anyone cleans their filter instead of just replacing the whole filter. They are MTC brand part number 31526-1XG0A and the dimensions are 15/16" inside diameter 1-1/16" outside diameter so 1/16" thick. I just called the Nissan dealer 40 miles away and had them order what I needed. When I get it I'll post part number and size.

I went to the Nissan dealer this afternoon and picked up the o-ring I'd ordered for the external filter. The Nissan part number is 31526-3JX3A. The dimensions are 1 15/16" OD x 1 13/16" ID or 49mm OD x 46mm ID. Just remember if you don't get one from a dealer get something like Buna or Viton which has high resistance to oils and heat.

I did the first CVT fluid/filters change on my '16 Versa SV yesterday at 029993 miles. Same CVT that's in your Mirage. The fluid was pretty dark in the pan but while it was draining in a stream I could still see a green cast to it and the fluid didn't smell burnt. I measured 120 oz. of fluid out but I sloshed a small amount out of the pan a couple times while moving it so I added an extra 2 oz. to make it up refilling with 122 oz. When I removed the cartridge filter it was pretty black but I didn't see any signs of metal contamination in the filter. When I pulled the pan off and replaced the pan filter the magnets in the pan were a little fuzzy but, nothing I'd consider abnormal. By the time I finished my back was hurting so bad it was making me sick (chronic back pain) so the left inner fender is still hanging loose and the car is still on jack stands. Hopefully this afternoon I can start it for the first time check for leaks around the cartridge filter housing to be sure the o-ring sealed good, run it through the gears, stabilize the inner fender, get it off the jack stands and take it for a test drive. Worst part of the job was removing the battery tray to have some work room and getting the filler plug out. Figuring out how to get the filler plug out probably took at least a half hour before I finally got it to release. My plans are to change again at 60K, then between 90 and 100K do about 3 drain/fills to get it cleaned up again.

My all *genuine* Mitsubishi order arrived today, I measured everything, I don't have professional measuring tools so rely on measurements at own risk.

CVT paper filter housing O ring, part number 2921A006, inner diameter: 47mm, outer diameter: 51mm, width: 2mm

CVT pan drain bolt gasket, part number 2705A012, inner diameter: 13mm, outer diameter: 19mm, width: 1mm

^ Note: Basically a washer but with a very thin coating of black on either side, feels like slightly rough plastic/rubber or something

Motor oil pan drain bolt crush washer, part number MD050317, inner diameter: 15mm outer diameter: 20mm, width: 2mm

Coolant drain engine block gasket, part number: MF660034, inner diameter: 13mm, outer diameter: 19mm, width: 1mm

^ Note: Basically a washer, nothing remarkable about it, ordered as part 01399Q from Mitsubishi. Evidently aluminum, guess that makes sense.

So the o ring on my Versa and the one on the Mirage are two different sizes with the one for the Mirage being larger. If a moderator wants to remove size I had posted for my Versa to avoid any confusion feel free to do so.
