    I think I'm mostly, or completely in agreement with you. When I finally get around to getting this done (hopefully soon), I will drop the rear section of the exhaust and not change it at all. And the front section will not be changed. Only this section that I bought will be changed. I will be running no 2nd cat, and a thrush straight through muffler. I suspect it will not sound so good.

    And if not, I will put the original rear section back in the car (myself).

    You can try if you have the money for it - no harm in that. I have tried various combinations, including the Thrush Straight Through glasspack. Honestly, IMHO - nothing alters the sound of our mirage it only either increases the drone or decreases it. In my opinion, the best exhaust setup for the mirage is stock. But feel free to try as sound is very subjective from one person to the next. To me, I would just maintain what's there and make sure no leaks that's about it. And just run it.
