Obviously, sales would be up after the ****show that was 2020. But article says best first half since 2001, so maybe they do know what they're doing...

There goes the hope of any discounts.
Must be a result of the Nissan takeover.

Makes me wonder if all of the FUD about the economy post-COVID has compelled people to reconsider Mitsubishi, esp. with their low cost of entry and long warranty.
Brings peace of mind to uncertain times. The warm security blanket that is a 10 year warranty.

Outside of Mitsubishi (Mirage) & Chevy (Spark), who else is offering an entry level vehicle?
I don't consider today's Civics and Corollas entry level vehicles any more.
You're surely not buying a new entry level Ford car, unless you consider the Mustang to be one. The new Maverick is their entry level vehicle now.
For those who have a car payment & are living pay check to pay check, a good warranty is reassuring.
It's probably a combination of things. Gas prices have been climbing, too!

I agree that this is one of the few alternatives left in the U.S. for folks who want small and reliable, but the price is also a factor as the average price of a new car sold here is over $40,000! I'm happy that they are doing better so that that warranty is worth the paper it's written on.
