Why focus on just hubcaps? With some patience and a little more dough you can find a decent set of used aluminum alloys.

    Craigslist finds

Edit: and of course don't forget Fuel Efficient 15-Inch Wheels and Tires

I noticed black wheels on a gray Mirage (same as mine) the other day. I thought they looked sharp. I would consider replacing my factory wheel covers with black ones. I noticed someone is making factory style wheel covers in black now. I don't mind the factory style, but black may look better?

Here is where I saw the black aftermarket factory clones (currently out-of-stock) -

    https://www.autovaluewheels.com/c/13...s_14_inch.html

Otherwise Amazon, Walmart, Auto Zone have different options. Someone shared these the other day, & I thought they looked sharp -

    https://www.amazon.com/Sparco-SPC149...ts_id=15706831

I am not a fan of wheel covers with fake lug nuts on them, but that's personal preference on my part.

I got my black ones from Amazon.

They shipped from Madrid, Spain via DHL but took less than a week to arrive. When I was looking for them it seems the EU gets all the cool hubcaps. Most of the ones available here in the USA seemed similar, whereas over there they come in multiple colors and styles. I agree with you on the lug nuts, I do not like them on hubcaps.

These are perfect for the Mirage @ 14 x 5.5" with 175 65 r 14 tires. MPG might go down if you drive over 75mph daily like I do, but if you hypermill properly its of minimal impact.

Most aftermarket rims are 6" or wider. Dirk's 14" x 5.5" rims are a good choice, because 165-195 wide tires are recommended for that rim width.

A person could easily use -

    165/65r14 (22.4") factory size tires - 11 tire options @ walmart.com today
    175/65r14 (23") - 103 tire options @ walmart.com today
    185/60r14 (22.7") - 74 tire options @ walmart.com today

As you can see above 175/65r14 & 185/60r14 are very common tire sizes. Given the weight of a Mirage, a 165-185 wide tires is a good range to stay within.

14" x 5" rims are good choice, but aftermarket ones are quite rare. Even 5.5" wide rim choices are quite limited.

Regardless of using 14" or 15" rims, I would try to stay 6" or under in rim width. Otherwise, you are buying more rim than you really need & that equals more weight, too.

    15" tires
175/55r15 (22.6" factory size) & 185/55r15 (23") are going to be the most common picks for a Mirage with 15" tires, & there's no need for a rim wider than 6". A 6" rim would work with any 175-205 wide tire.

I don't mind steel rims. If someone gave me eight 14" x 5" alloy wheels for free, I would gladly use them. I doubt that will happen.

I like these. The car looks great! Did you lift your rear side?

I like those, too! Replacing the wheel covers is 1/4 (or way less than the cost) of buying new alloy wheels. Plus, you're not paying someone to remount/balance all four wheels for you, too!

If you get them, please post a pic of them. If I lost a wheel cover, I would consider these, too! The black clones of the factory style would be my second choice maybe?

I am not bashing anyone buying alloy wheels, but a good time to do that would be when it's time to replace tires. At that point, you will be paying someone to mount/balance new tires regardless.

Nope, stock. Only other thing I changed was the smoked side lights.
