Hi there, new member from the Netherlands.

I recently found this forum and already found much good information on it. I bought my first Space Star 1.2 CVT in 2013 and never had any issues with it. When the new model 2021 was introduced I decided to replace my old one as I really liked the new looks. I once again took the 1.2 CVT, color White Diamond. Even though it's about 40kg heavier, the fuel economy is better. 4.8L/100km with the old one versus 4.4L/100km with the new one. It's also more quiet and the road holding is way better, so I am (once again) a very happy owner!

A European member with a non-manual car? Outrageous.

Yes, but nowadays over 50% of the new car sales ( at least, in the Netherlands) are automatics. Used to be less than 20% a decade ago and maybe 5% in the 80's and 90's.

Btw, the first mass-production car to use a CVT was the 1958 DAF 600 built in the Netherlands. Fun fact: this car could drive backwards as fast as forwards, so we had many backwards races on circuits with these cars. See:
