3 worst interior wear areas after 150,000 km: Seat, dead pedal. Fix suggestions?

So I finally got Mirage #2 tidied up to sell. This is actually the first time I cleaned it inside & out since I got it just over a year ago. These are the only significant wear areas I discovered.

    1) I hadn't even noticed that the driver's side seat bolster is wearing through:

It's relatively minor, though I'd do something about it if I were keeping the car.

    ---

    2) Much worse is the dead pedal area:

The mouse fur is worn completely through. It's cosmetically the worst thing about the car.

Any quick & easy suggestions to sort that out/hide it?

    ---

    3) The driver's side floor mat was trashed - never used a winter mat - but I had already replaced it.

Oh, and the leather wrap shift knob is also pretty worn.

I have the same issue with the carpet in my Outlander GT. I think the best way to make it look less awful would be to probably use some spray on carpet dye to make it blend in. Otherwise it's carpet replacement time and screw that.

    1. Install WeatherTech mats early so this doesn’t happen then put the OE mats up for sale to help pay for the WeatherTechs. Of course you’re way past that.
    2. Once I cut out the damage and replaced it with a section of sticky-back carpet square cut to fit. Then cover over with a floor mat.

    Yep. Ounce of prevention...

I recall someone cut out a rectangle of heavy rubber to fit the dead pedal area that made it look like a factory thing. But I don't have any rubber like that hanging around.

I DO have the old driver's side floor mat... I could cut out a section to fit, but then the edges would look unfinished and would fray, eventually. I'd have to find some way to put trim around it.

How much are Mirage original floor mats worth? I need to look that up. I've got my original mats still in their plastic bag in the trunk. They were so carpety and pretty I knew from day one I wouldn't use them. I bought some barely fit rubber floor mats (that I cut the best I could) and never looked back. I like rubber mats... Shake them out and get over it.
I'm going to have to shop this around.

My dead pedal area's carpet is all worn down similarly.

And my driver's seat has a rip in it now, right where one's bum sits. Only two inches or so tear so far. My friend told me I should purchase "fabric glue" - maybe someone else on the forum has had experience with this?

I'm told Canadian tire sells the stuff. Fabric glue

    dberry, you genius!

I forgot I scored a FULL set of lightly used original mats for 20 bucks to replace the badly damaged driver's mat.

So I have spare mats to sacrifice to the cause!

Ripped from a sharp object or from wear? If from wear, I think a seat cover would be the best bet.

The unfinished edge of that little piece of mat is tucked under the kick panel, so it looks almost factory.

Not very durable though - I think I'd go with heavy rubber or plastic if I had something like that laying around.

    From wear & tear, 152,000 km's worth.

I'm lukewarm about seat covers, solely because I don't want an airbag to deploy with a seat cover covering the device. Seems kinda dangerous. Maybe seat covers account for seat airbags?
