    Question 2015 AC Compressor

    Hey everyone!

The AC Compressor seized up on my 2015, which ended up snapping the serpentine cable. I replaced the cable with a shorter one to bypass the compressor and get the car running, but I need to get the compressor replaced.

My question is do I need to replace the entire assembly or just the compressor itself?

I have a part number for the assembly (7813A524) but not the compressor. Does anyone know the part number?

    Thanks!

Are you asking if you can replace the AC clutch instead of the entire compressor assembly?

Consider a complete OEM compressor assembly out of a newer Mirage. I think all 2014+ Mirage AC compressors are interchangeable. See this post.

It sounds like you want to replace the compressor only...without the clutch/pulley? I am sure it can be done, but I don't think Mitsubishi sells it that way as a new part.

You can buy the clutch/pulley, or the compressor/clutch/pulley assembly, but I don't think you can buy a bare compressor.

There’s always junkyards. After all, we’re all driving on used parts.
