    Wheel bearing, quality parts?

Looks like Timken doesn't produce bearings for our mirage. Before I go to a bunch of stores trying to feel up some greasy balls, is there any consensus here for sourcing a quality set?

I've replaced wheel bearings a few times on mid90s Toyota Corollas I've driven.
I had sourced the bearings from RockAuto (wjb, ultra) and went into some local parts stores to lay my hands on bearings Moog, ACDelco, National, store brands, I don't know how many I went and felt in store. They all had felt somewhat gritty and resistant to roll. Of course there were better and worse ones.
The wjb from RockAuto were almost as bad as the bearing I pulled off. I put it on anyway just to buy some time.
Anyway the only bearings I came across; that in my opinion felt smooth and brand new like some high quality rollerblade or skateboard bearings, were Timken.

I am not opposed to finding and picking up low mileage original equipment. I just prefer new to used and if I'm replacing it anyway, if the price is right, I prefer better than original equipment whenever possible.

Dunno about Timken, but there are many good brands you could trust, such as, Eff-Ay-Gee, SKF, INA, Meyle, Febi, GSP any very many more.

Do any of your listed brands make bearings for the Mirage?

Almost all bearings on anything are standard parts and bear an etched number on them. With that number, you can get the part from just about all bearing makers. I would have to take them out to see the etching. The etching is not identical to the OEM number.
Here a few part numbers that fit my car:

rear wheel bearings, 28mm inside, 58mm outside, 48mm wide:
    FAG1002844740
    FEBEST DAC35640037M / 26526900
    SNR R173.66
    A.B.S. 200066
    METZGER WM2155

Front wheel bearings, 35mm inside, 64 outside, 37 wide, with ABS ring:
    Triscan 853010173
    OPTIMAL 951010
    Metzger WM 2157

    Except Timken, apparently.

Nothing against Timken and I know they make good stuff, but they are a regional maker from a non-metric region.
Look at the big worldwide brands and you will find the desired metric parts, after all our cars were built internationally standardized measures, and they are of course metric.

You can thank Napoleon for introducing the metric system to the world.

    Lightbulb

Ended up getting a pair of knuckles from LKQ. Supposedly from a couple 2019 mirage and about 19k miles on each.

From what I see part numbers are
    3870A116 Passenger side ( Right )
    3870A115 Driver side ( Left )
    Fits 2014 & 2015, 2017 through 2020
I have not seen the part number for 2016

Mitsubishi skipped the Mirage's 2016 model year in the US. They extended 2015 model production until late 2015 then introduced the 2017s in the spring of 2016.
