Sounds like you tried everything you could first, and that's great! Pretty much all starters fail eventually. It's not the worst item in the world to replace.

Rockauto.com wants $152.79 for a rebuilt starter. $34 extra if you don't exchange them.

Autozone.com wants $169.99 for a rebuilt starter. $40 extra if you don't exchange them.

Local electric motor guy in my area charged me about $100 to rebuild the starter for my tractor, but that was over 10 years ago. Not sure what it would be today?

If a Mirage is not under warranty, I wonder what a dealer charges?
