Thinking about buying a Mitsubishi Colt

Hello, my name is Manuel and, after two Hondas (CR-Z EF1 and Civic EG5), I'm thinking about buying a Mitsubishi Colt Z30.

I really don't know much about this car, which isn't common here in Spain, so I decided to learn more about it before buying it.

I have seen a lot of messages about the low fuel consumption of this car (not as good as the new 3-cylinder Mirages, obviously), which is nice, but I'm more interested in his dynamic properties, and those seem also quite good, even in the less powered ones (the unit I have been looking is a 1.3 unit).

So i was looking around for a MItsubishi Colt specific forum, and this one was the closest thing I found.

The Colt Z30 is an altogether different car!
The Mirage/SpaceStar after 2012 is more light weight, has a bigger luggage compartment, more room inside, and has a better view for the driver.
The Z30 are quite reliable and cheap to buy used, at around €2500+ A SpaceStar of 2014 might cost starting about €3000 upwards.
Expect a Z30 just as a SpaceStar to last you a long time if you take a little bit of care and occaisionally look underneath and take care of any corrosion you see. A litle bit of care pays off in big savings years later.

The four-door models are more practical, even if you don't need 4 doors. Its easier to get in and out, especially in a narrow garage. There is not much to say about them, no problems really worth mentioning, just simple, low cost to operate and reliable.

I understand what you say, and probably I won't get any good info for the Colt in this forum...

The Mirage/Space Star is a nice daily, but it lacks the sport feeling I look for... the Colt have that feeling, but it's a bit underpowered (I can forgive that), and the Ralliart is way too expensive for me.

Maybe look for a Porsche or a Ferrari?

It is also a nice sport feelng driveing a car that only uses 4L or less per 100km...

If the ralliart is expensive for me, then a Porsche or a Ferrari...

As you said before, they are two different cars... the Mirage is a good car if you are looking for the cheap and efficient way to move from A to B.

The link isn't working, but if you are referring to the phase 1, yes, you can find the Ralliart in LHD.

You can even buy the CZC (Colt Cabrio), with the 1.5 turbo engine of the Ralliart.

The wife would LOVE that car. We have two convertibles already though.
