    Busted!!

Yeah basically but I'd drive it a little more. I would only put on summer time miles, no winter daily driving or delivery. The 15, maybe a 17, would continue being my daily and delivery vehicle.

I would like one of the red ones or maybe a white one. I checked all 14 VINs, these bad boys must be on their way to WB right now and will go live with pics and test drives in a matter of days. I'm going to talk to WB asap about MSRP and or lowest OTD price, shipped.

    Just curious.

My guess is these cars are on their way to them, but I could be wrong. If you want one, contact them. They are very up front & honest.
Completely agree. I suspect these cars are 'on order' and will show up at the dealership whenever they show up. My local Ford dealership shows a couple of Bronco Sports, with VINs, but if you read the fine print it says 'dealer ordered', not 'in stock'. And it is a stock photo of the Bronco Sport, not a pic of the actual vehicle.

Is this Pulse thing a Plug & Play, or do they need to cut & splice wires??? Asking because I think if the wires are spliced into, this is a place for problems in the future due to corroded wires... Just my thoughts...
I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything

Looks like something may get spliced, but I wouldn't worry about it. You can read more about Pulse here.

I finally got around to gathering some rough numbers for us. WB estimates these ordered, not yet in stock, VINs will begin arriving 12/12/2021. But realistically won't be ready to go by early to mid January 2022, I'm assuming due to holidays and or supply chain delays or staffing issues. Seems common these days. I've noticed the local Mitsubishi dealership has very few Mitsubishis in stock so they've had to fill it with other brands' makes and models, it's a little sad. Also, i think Mitsubishi should've just made it a "2023 model" this late into the year. Anyways...

2022 Mitsubishi Mirage ES 5SMT Red

List price (as of 12/03/2021): $16,080

    $15,580 best price
    −$250 loyalty discount
    +8.25% tax
    +$500 shipping

    OTD price: $17,095

$17,095 is a lot for a Mirage, no? These days I find Mirage's listed for $20k by Caravan! Damn

Good news is the 5 speed manual is still available. Still base model ES only but with the rapidly dwindling of manual transmissions even being offered in any vehicle I'll take this as a win.
I checked a day or two ago, and the new 2022 Mirage was not listed yet. It's listed now.

Trim levels for 2022 are ES (5MT), ES (CVT), LE, BE, & SE.

G4 has the same trim level choices in 2022.

When I go to 2022 Mirage specs for all models, it shows a BE manual as standard in the transmission section. When you go to build one, however, it come standard with a CVT. Their website is known to be filled with mistakes, & that hasn't changed.

I bought a Mirage in 2017, because I could buy a brand new ES manual for under $10,000 OTD. If I had qualified for the 3 rebates (loyalty, VIP, & military), I could have brought a brand new Mirage for under $9,000 OTD in 2017. I gave up looking at used hatchbacks like the Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, and Mazda Mazda2 because of that new car pricing.

I don't consider my Mirage to be my primary vehicle, but it's surely my daily driver. In the past 4+ years, 90% of my mileage has gone on my Mirage. The remaining 10% has gone on my 2011 Forester, which I don't want to replace any time soon.

If Mirages are selling for $17,000+OTD, I would return to looking at used car options again. It's not a good time to buy either (new or used). Even if WB offered me what I paid for my Mirage in 2017, I wouldn't take that deal.

I will put this in this thread.

I became interested in the Mirage when it was updated in 2017. . Only the ES trim level changed from 2017-20. The SE & GT remained the same those years, & a LE trim level appeared.

New standard features for the ES trim level -
    2018 - Bluetooth & backup camera (mandated)
    2019 - cruise control & 6-way adjustable driver's seat
    2020 - automatic climate controls
2021 - updated front/rear bumpers & forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection

So I ask - What makes a 2022 Mirage ES manual different from a 2021 Mirage ES manual?

I haven't looked at the specs that much. Color choices seem to be the same. Is it the exact same car this year? i ask, because I don't know. I only look at manuals. So my question basically relates to the ES.

FWIW, I considered buying used Mirage. Ones in decent shape weren't that much cheaper than new, and I was lucky to find a new one in stock, so I acted fast. I didn't even bother negotiating beyond getting the dealer fees knocked off, because I knew that the dealer would have someone willing to buy the car at sticker in no time, because of shortages, and wait times. The days of sub $15k new cars are gone, whether it's Canada or the US. And, for me, it doesn't make any sense buying used, when the savings are ~$1000.

Someone bought a brand new Mirage for $10,400 earlier this year. WB delivered it to his home in North Carolina, too. Given the pricing earlier this year, I could have bought one for under $11,000 OTD @ WB. That pricing has gone out the door literally now! He bought a 2021 ES manual for his wife ($10,400) -

If I am paying $15,000+ for a vehicle, it won't be a Mirage.
