    Your Other Rides...

I rode in to work today in my Lexus. Got up into my office and duhhhhh, I forgot my computer. So I went back down to get it. I haven't drove this car in over a month. And it struck me when I walked out and saw it, I said to myself, "What a sled!"

I've had this car a long time. About 7 years now.

So, throw a picture up of your other rides, if you care to. Just for fun.

P.S. - If anything I think my Mirage is even more impressive. The standout of this sled is the Mark Levinson sound system, and it looks perdy (but I think the Mirage does too). 385 hp V8. The Mirage will average about 42 mpg to my dad's house and back. This LS 460L will average about 27 mpg. This car may be 5,000 lbs. It's probably 4,900+ anyway. Not too shabby.

These are my other rides (2011 Forester 2.5X manual & 2006 Kawasaki Mule 610 4x4). My Mule barely fits on my 4' x 8' trailer. I have less than an inch space on both sides. I have to drive it on really straight to fit. This pic was taken some time ago. My Mule doesn't always look that clean.

I bet the seats in that Lexus are glorious 7miles! Can you run regular unleaded in that beast?

The seats are glorious, the back seat is huge / roomy, with massaging rear seats. Silly, but my back seat passengers fall in love with the car. I can run regular, people do it frequently. But the manual calls for 91 octane. As you know around here, we have 87, 89 and 93 octane.

Because I'm a nerd, I either run 93 octane, or sometimes I mix 1 part of 87 octane to 2 parts 93 octane and wind up with a mix equaling 91 octane (depending on how accurate I'm able to mix). I'm a bit OCD and a lot nerd, and find it fun to mix them, fun to predict how much of each I will need, then see how accurate I am. It runs fine doing this.

Pic is 35 years old. Doesn't look quite that nice now. This pic was taken at the Phillips 66 Terminal in Doraville, GA where my grandfather worked when it was his truck.

My other daily driver is the ladder truck in my profile pic.
