    100,000 mile oil analysis

My Mirage turned over 100,000 miles earlier this year. I had an oil analysis done and the results are below. I change my oil with Mobil-1 5W30 synthetic every 5,000 miles and usually use Mobil-1 M1-110A filters.

This may be the most coddled Mirage engine in existence. I treat this car like it has a 3,000 RPM rev limiter. My speedometer has never seen 70 mph.

NOTE: At 100,000 miles, my Mirage is burning about 1/2 a pint of oil every 5,000 miles. I don't consider this to be a big deal. I haven't been topping off my oil between oil changes, but I will probably start doing it now.
