    -Oil and filter change.
Used a crappy tire "premium" oil filter and 5w20 Castrol Edge since I had some already.
-checked rear brakes. front brake shoes are worn out
-Rust spot on lh rear 1/4 is growing bigger
    -Both fog lights are broken...Again

March 23, still running snow tires. Forecast calls for more snow this coming weekend and into next week
I took the Nokian snow tires off the front of my Mirage a couple weeks ago. That very night, we got our largest snow fall of the winter. Overall, we didn't get a lot of snow this winter. I've snow plowed with my ATV maybe 4 times.

Got to test out the newer Kumho Solus TA31 tires up front in some slushy wet snow the other day, & they struggled. The 5 year old Nokian snow tires are still better by a good amount.

If I didn't have an AWD vehicle with good snow tires parked in the garage, I wouldn't have pulled my winter tires off the front of my Mirage so soon. Any snow we get now seems gone in a day or two now. I am planning to pull the tire chains off my Mule today, & that may cause the next snow storm.

How did you find the engine ran with 5w20?

Can't speak for Fummy but in my experience the 3A92 is much quieter and seems happier with 5w20

I didn't notice any difference. I haven't really paid much attention either though. This engine only has 12,000km on it so it wasn't really noisy to begin with. I would have put 0w20 in it if I had any left. If I had only 5w30 I would have used that instead. If it's new, brown and not too thick it's going in the hole. Hopefully that doesn't get taken the wrong way...

I filled up at 1/2 tank on Sunday. Hand calculated 5.1l/100km or 46mpg. I filled up at UFA, they are kind of a weird place. You need to sign up for a card then you can use their cardlock stations 24/7. They don't show a price at the pump which is kinda weird. I signed up because there a UFA that opened a few years ago in my home town that sold gas for 15c/l compared to the other stations. I compared got my pending charge on my visa within minutes and figured it cost 5c more a liter than the stations I passed on the way to this place. Wasn't too mad cause I only over spend by $1.

I was gonna swap wheels/tires over just now. I have some cheapo 175/65r14 on the oem steel wheels right now and I have a set of stock Dunlop’s from my previous 2014 Mirage on the oem aluminum wheels. The Dunlop’s still have a little bit of tread left but are cracked all over the place. They’re toast.Attachment 23203If those $25 Dunlop’s I found on kijiji are available next weekend I’ll go grab those and mount em up.
The cheapo winter tires are holding up great. I had them on my other car for over a year then in this car for 1 1/2 winters. They should last another 2-3 winters at this rate.

I swore I heard my rear brakes starting to make noise the other day so on Saturday I was gonna replace a shoe or two. I scrounged 1 decent brake shoe and 1 pretty worn out one from a wreck that was headed to the scrap heap. My drums have some pretty deep grooves in them and there's only 1 single overpriced drum available last time I checked on rock auto. I'll limp these drums along until I can either source a new cheap set or until I scrap another 2017 and do a complete rear brake swap. The 2017 Drums are more redily available and closer to $50 a piece rather than the $250(cad) for the single rockauto 2014 drum.

I missed out on a $25 set of 4 Stock dunlops so I'm still running the 175 winters. Which is fine, we got another 4" of snow in a freak snow storm last week.

Still running the winter tires.....They're getting pretty noisy at low speeds.

I was just offered a set of 2017 SE aluminum wheels in trade my steel wheels...... Now I just need to see if I can have the dunlops included or for cheap.

The car I'm getting the wheels from has a hitch on it as well that I may try to get. It's never gonna be used on a work car.

I'd probably never tow anything but it'd be nice to be able to pretend that I could haul a few pallets of bricks, a lift of lumber or haul a skid steer around without having to use the truck.

The main thing the hitch is good for is to make a little platform out of angle iron and expanded metal. really expands the cargo carrying capacity.

    Oil change(mobil 1 0w20 , wix 57356)
Added washers to air cleaner mounts
    Zip tied snorkle
Checked spark plugs, looked good. Have been replaced once at least.
Cvt fluid looked clean and clear.

I had a new windshield installed around this same time.
Do you recall the cost of the windsheild and was it done by a national Canadian glass place? Also, does your car have the heated seats/foglight package as well as the BT?

    Thanks
