Ah, what does this imaginary combo of quad and trailer weigh and how does the Mirage not fry the transmission?

Can’t be worse than the guy that towed a chevette, though he had a 5spd. Side by side is a chunky girl, probably getting close to 2000lb. This will never happen but if it did I’d monitor the trans and engine temps.

A little bit worse than this. Trailer and ATV combo = 1,500 lbs (very close).

I learned how to get that gate down in this condition, with the ATV on top of it, which will reduce the wind drag, and will try this again this summer. It towed just fine, but lacked hill pulling power at interstate speeds.

A trailer would be the realistic way to go. If I had a trailer and a hitch on the Mirage, I'd give it a go for a few miles.

have been my tow vehicles for me over the years.

My 1978 Honda Civic Wagon, 1990 Ford Festiva & current 2017 Mirage have not. I have a used hitch on my Mirage for my bike rack, however. I would tug my log splitter with my Mirage in a pinch. I don't have a wire harness set up for my Mirage. My log splitter has a 2" ball hitch, but no lights.

I have a ramp on a light trailer and wonder if it is a major drag? I suspect it is even though the sq. ft. area isn't huge.Name: IMG_20221225_140728.jpg
