Just got to drive this Mirage today! What a surprise! Way more impressive than I thought it would be.

Feels like a three-speed automatic ahead of the CVT just like the Spark/Daewoo but there the similarity ends.
The body roll in curves is a little different, aye! More "Ayee!" at first.

I was pretty sure the spark used the same old jatco cvt that the Mirage has. But the Mirage has different programming and less horsepowers. We had a 2014 spark at work and it was quickly sold after cvt #2 was replaced under warranty.

That Caravan was brand new off the lot!

The Spark & Mirage use the same CVT, sourced from JATCO. But probably with different programming, as Fummins says. Nissan used it in the Versa & Versa Note as well.

I was wondering who would be the first to let you know that.

There's a 2-speed gearbox with a locking torque converter in there with the skidoo belt & pulleys.

Your old Spark had the exact same JATCO CVT7 as your new Mirage. I recommend going to Aamco to service the CVT. It costs about $200 and they do a lot more than the dealer. It's an extra $50 if they change out the 2 filters too.
