    MP3 Pairing

Wife on second MP3 player from Amazon and it won't pair with the system. How to determine what WILL pair?

Honestly any USB stick will do the trick. Plug it into the glove box and bam. I have a 16 GB in my Mirage, and I'm overloaded with music lol

My ipod classic, and ipod touch, load just fine too. Use the apple cord with those. I have yet to try my new Sony Walkman, but I presume it works.

Again sorry easiest solution, just load your mp3s on any old USB stick

The BT on these cars is kind of finnicky. Does it show up on your device at all?

Not that I can see...the car can't see the MP3 and there is no reaction on the player screen.

When I plug in my USB stick (Staples brand) the light on the drive flashes, and then the Mirage's stereo says: "Load", and then in a few seconds, I have access to all my mp3s on my car stereo.

I'm not using any cord, just USB stick plugged directly into the cord in the glove box.

I'm not sure if newer Mirage stereos perform differently. My Mirage is 2014 with no screen.

If you have a iPhone you can plug it into the usb connection and it should show up as a "iPod"

Got her older MP3 player and neither would recognize the other. Tried a usb cord that I am pretty sure has 4 wires and got a message on the MP3 "charging only." So that tells me the usb in the car has only 5 volt power wires.

The car screen says the bluetooth hardware version is 1.0 which sounds a little moldy since 5.0 is current...

Loaded an app that is supposed to tell if cord or usb outlet is working. Will report if that works....or does not...what a pain.

What does the manual say about BT connecting? It may have a specific procedure.

On my 15 DE this works...

Have the phone searching for devices and then turn the car on ACC and see what happens.
