How fast is limp mode by the way? I probably wouldn't even notice if it came on

I still don't know what the op means by limp mode. Explain, please...Be specific and feel free to post what code you pulled(not the description, the actual letter and number. For example P0300, B02334a.....).

Again does the shift indicator flash when it acts up.
By "stop accelerating" on the highway after 25 mins, does the engine rev up and it just not move or do you lose throttle response or will it just not go faster than a certain speed?

So far it's clear as mud what's going on here.

Limp mode as in, car is on, but when you press the gas - the car doesnt move. The transmission makes noise (kind of rev but low rev).

    Code was P0762

I didnt notice any shift indicators flashing.
The car doesnt move at all unless i let it cool down.

Did you actually take the valve body apart? That sounds pretty complex.

It wasn't really bad. There's no gaskets. I can't remember if there were any check balls. Probably not,

There are a bunch of little filters in it.

You can get a free OBDII code read at O'Reiley's, Auto Zone and Advance Auto Parts. Maybe others. Check engine light?
