Holding cars to a BMW standard is like holding all women to supermodel standards. Not realistic, not right, and certainly a 95% horrible experience for men. 5% of the experience might be ultra wow, but the rest of the time you want to plunge an icepick in your ear. That's what it would be like owning a BMW (especially a 7-Series) after the warranty is gone, 5% wow - 95% dread.
