    Cool Hello from Toronto!

    Hello everyone!

I bought my first car 2 months ago, a 2019 Mirage ES with 56000km on it. It has a CVT transmission and has been serving me well driving to and from work every day. It's nickname is "The Yeti". Glad to be here and can't wait to start posting!

Hey Yeti I agree, Mirage is a good commuter car. Whatever costs less gas to get to and from work. Costs me about $40 to fill up now, for 7 years before much less.

Insurance rates are low too. Maybe consider getting your car oil sprayed/protected. Winter tires make a huge difference. So yea those are my two cents with my own 2014 Mirage cheers!

Thanks for the tips! I plan on getting it undercoated, do you also recommend something for protecting the paint?

I have the optional pearlescent Thunder Grey paint, and I have never done anything to it. Besides wash by hand, only by hand with unival type car soap, then dry wash over the car with a dry rag. 8 years later my Mirage still looks glittery if it's clean.

Like you can see the colour of your shirt in the reflection, and looks almost purple sometimes. Like a nickel effect. So maybe the roof has some fade but very little. I worry about products doing damage so I just leave the paint be. I use krown for rust control and seems to work well. Just smells weird but is worth itName: grasshopper.jpg
