I'd say mileage is an important variable that shouldn't be overlooked. Also resale value, those climate controlled garage kept RR that are impeccably maintained are an anomaly.

@BillAce: I added numbers for car >250000km (the highest preset), and things change. Suddenly English brands are bad, and Mitsubishi is one of the better ones. For Renault not much changes.

That's interesting data, but there's way to many variables to make any conclusion in my opinion. Rolls Royce owners may not rack up high miles on their vehicles? If that were the case, the zero number really means nothing. Just because none of the Rolls Royce cars reached 250,000 km yet doesn't mean they won't go 500,000 km.
As of September 2021, the average age of American vehicle on the road is 12.1 years old. That number has grown over the years.
It's really hard to collect data on vehicles. An older person buying a new Lexus may not be the same as a young person buying a Ford Focus. I highly doubt any two vehicles share the same history.
If Nissan products have improved since the Alliance merger, I have not heard about it. I have heard claims that Nissan quality has declined since the merger. Likewise, I have never heard anyone claim Fiat has improved the quality of Chrysler & Jeep Products. I have heard the opposite.
Had Mitsubishi merged with a company like Toyota, I would have more hope for them.

What's funny is in Australia, Honda is considered junk and Mitsubishi is reliable.

This is a story about the rumor of Honda pulling out of their market.

Check out Australia's Mitsu lineup. 3 of their 8 models come with a regular auto trans, the Express, Triton, Pajero Sport. 5 of their models come with a manual option too! Only the Nissan Outlander, Outlander Phev, Eclipse Cross Phev do not come in manual. Their Outlander Sports still come in manual too. Unbelievable how America only gets the worse of Mitsubishi's line up.

So one of the sales guy from White Bear texted me yesterday saying that the 2022 Mirage will be the last manual transmission Mirage. I haven't responded back yet to ask questions but I'll be sad if it's true! Has anyone spoken to WB recently?
If this is true, I'll be sad but hey WB has some right now. Get it while you can.
