Seems pretty useful for deer season in my area but i would rather have auto headlights for sure.
I literally linked the Mitsubishi site that says that you should have auto headlights on trims with automatic high beams. Maybe you should call a dealer or look into the owners manual or something?

This auto trader article of the 2021 mirage says auto headlights were available on SE and auto high beams on GT

Comparing trim levels across the border is a bit tricky.

2017-2020 was basically the ES, LE, SE, & GT for us. RF (offered one or two years) was an ES with a Rockford Fosgate stereo added I believe.

2021 was the ES, LE, Carbonite Edition, & SE.

2022 is the ES, LE, BE, & SE.

Some 2022 feature differences below -

All trim levels have the same standard safety features, except the SE also has LDW (lane departure warning).

All trim levels have the same convenience features, except the SE has the FAST-key entry system with push button start verses the remote keyless entry of the other trims.

As far as lights go (exterior features) -
Fog lights - BE & SE
Automatic headlights - BE & SE
    LED headlights - SE
    Automatic high beam - SE

    Wheels
14" steel rims with wheel covers - ES
    14" alloy rims - LE
15" black alloy rims - BE
    15" alloy rims - SE

Mark, how does one enable automatic headlights?. I can’t imagine having auto Hugh beams without auto headlights

Someone else will have to answer that.

Our SE has automatic headlights along with automatic high beams. Auto high beams without auto headlights is not an option.

That's a Canadian article. BillAce and most others are in the US. We(in canada)were supposed to have had "automatic" drl/tail lights on new cars sold as of late this year but apparently, there are some workarounds.

a dashboard that stays dark to alert the driver to turn on the lights
I don't think you'd need to have auto headlights(that turn on automatically at dusk) to have auto-high beams. One senses darkness and the other senses vehicles approaching.

Here is the headlight switch on my Eclipse Cross that has both auto headlights and high beams. The Mirage doesn't have the auto headlight switch provision. I wonder if it can be retrofitted since it seems to be a mandated option in canada?Name: 20211230_164004.jpg

Since a 2021-22 Mirage SE (which is now the top trim level) has auto headlight/auto high beams, I would assume the newer SE trim level has a headlight switch like your Eclipse Cross.
