Hello Mark,

Thank you for your kind words, although i agree that having a cabin air filter is useful and important. Now that ive discovered that even with the controls set to inside air only it is still sucking in exhaust fumes and **** from the outside. This can sometimes cause uncomfortable odors especially when stuck behind trucks in traffic. Im actually considering buying the activated carbon air filters rockauto sells. If i buy a single cabin air filter a year like you do, spending the extra few dollars doesnt bother me... much.

I can see where the carbon filters may help that. I don't drive in heavy traffic that often. I also drive with my window open 90% of the time during the summer months, because I like more fresh air then the vents alone can provide. I seldom use A/C. If I do, it's to clear the windshield more than anything.

I buy 4-6 cabin air filters for my two vehicles at the same time (2 or 3 for each vehicle). They may last me a number of years. I blow them out more frequently and change them when I think it's time. It could be a year or much longer before I replace one.

As far as the engine filter goes, I check that about every 5,000 miles and replace it every 30,000 miles. Even then it doesn't seem that dirty.

A Mirage engine air filter is quite substantial. I think it's bigger than my Forester engine air filter. Likewise, my Forester cabin air filter is quite substantial, but the Mirage cabin air filter is quite wimpy by comparison.

Just put a Mirage engine air filter side by side to a Mirage cabin air filter some time, & ask yourself how a cabin air filter could cost more?

Im open to ideas, recomendations, requests for future videos.

Ideas I currently have for future videos:

- dash cam hardwiring
- drum brake shoe replacement
- adding gps tracking

I don't want to do videos that feel overly simple like a windshield wiper change or an air filter change.

I have considered taking on a project like adding regen braking, making a smart grill block, a smart warm air intake or adding push to start/remote start to the car. But I feel my following on Youtube(49 subscribers) is too small to justify investing the money and time needed. As i imagine cost far outweighs fuel economy.
