1 simple trick to lower fuel consumption by 55%!

You know gas prices are creeping up when you start seeing this type of nonsense in ads in the forum...

I've also seen the one Fummins reported where it's a ketchup bottle instead of a WD40 can!

    Anybody else seen 'em?

More seriously, I'm also seeing "how to save fuel" articles in the blogosphere and the mainstream media.

I thought you were going to say to purchase a smaller, more fuel efficient vehicle.

I won't enable the ad blocker on this forum, but I still wish forum members could optionally pay a yearly fee to get rid of the ads.

Regular 87 from Shell was $3.56/gal the other day for me. Highest I've seen for 87 was $3.75/gal. Gas is definitely going up!

We've had a couple of members (well, two now) ask about this. I talked to Tim about it and we're going to set that up.

    Completely optional of course.

A week ago, there was also a flurry of articles on the blogs and in the mainstream media about "hypermiling" and how anti-social it is.

    EG:

Hypermilers aren’t the worst offenders on the roads, but they aren’t saints either

No. But I spent a lot of time trying to explain to a co-worker why it wouldn't work.

What a scam those pay per mile insurance things are. The lowest rate I have found on any of them for driving 0 miles is more than I pay with Geico... and I would hate to see what 15k+ miles costs. I'm glad Geico doesn't know what they signed on for
