This article basically makes me feel less like an idiot for buying a new Mirage. Thank you.

As gas prices continue to rise, we all look a bit smarter each day!

When we were shopping around, CarMax, Carvana, all the big dealers were listing slightly used Mirages for over $20k, unbelievable. $18k OTD price would of gotten me a KIA Rio that was already 3 years old and sporting 65k hard rental miles on it already. IMO, the KIA Rio might be faster than the Mirage and quieter on the hwy, but it won't hold up as long as my Mirage. I think Mitsubishi build quality is underrated and underappreciated just because its often of an older design. I feel like KIA is overrated, riding high after winning some pointless J.D. Power awards that don't mean anything because its an award for the car with the least amount of issues after one year. One year! They need to hand out a Decade of Excellence Award after a model has proven itself that long. I see the Corolla and Camry winning that but Mitsubishi perhaps getting an honorable mention.
