Ok finally got the chance to install the coilovers. Had the rear installed first then the front.

GAB Adjustable Shocks(height, compression and rebound in 32 steps) from the coilover set

GAB Springs with Height adjustment from the coilver set.

    Spring Mounts

    Shock Bushing and Spec

    Spring Close Up

    Shock Close Up

GAB Springs compared to OEM Springs.

OEM Tokico Shocks compared to GAB Adjustable Shocks

    OEM Mounts to be re-used

Rear GAB Shocks and Springs Installed

Rear Height at Max Spring adjustment.

    Initial setting:
Springs - set at max height
Shocks - adjustment knob set at 16th click ( 1-32 clicks, corresponding to softest to hardest)

These settings have eliminated the underdamped setting of the OEM shock/spring combo. The stock OEM shock is to blame for the underdamped suspension

Readjusted the spring height to this setting for a mild drop and set the shock adjustment knob to 17th click.

I'm not a fan of lowered ride and stance, function over form first

    GAB Front Coilovers

    Shock Close up

    Top Mount Close up

    Spring Close up

GAB Front coilovers and OEM Shock/Spring Assy

    Front Coilovers Installed

Adjusted height by rotating the base of the shock (took me 30 minutes per side, unmount wheels, remove shock bolts

    Stock OEM Shock/Spring

GAB SS Front Coilover Factory Setting (This setting will work with those without front chins)

GAB SS Front Coilover Final Adjusted Height (rotated the shock base)

Test Drove over speedbumps in the subdivision and seems ok. Will have to fine tune the shock compression/rebound.

    Full body pic!

    EDIT:
Also, your conclusion that the shocks are responsible for the underdamper'dness is so true. Which makes me think that it's partially useless to just buy lowering springs.

I suggest for everyone to save up for coilovers, unless you're in it just for the stance.

Wow, lots of pics, thanks! They look very nice. I agree though, we want a full body shot.

I'm also interested in how they ride after you get them dialed in.

God I want my mirage lower...
    Your one is so sexy.
I know you want function over form, but could you post a photo of the coilovers lowest setting, and what it looks like?
