The down arrow button sticks when it's cold. I'd like to remove the button plate and clean the sensors to fix this pressing issue. Do we have insight on this procedure?

Im doubtful disassembly is possible. Looking at this eBay listing, it appears their are no screws.

Hopefully these photos also give you an idea on how to remove your button panel.

This video shows you how to remove the switches kinda around the 4:50 mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYNDPmT9atA all it appears you need to do is remove the airbag then undo one screw that is on the back of the steering wheel.

First remove the chrome, there are clips on the back. Then pry the face out.
My 2015 has the same issue on the same button. The volume up button works just fine, but the volume down button is sticky and finicky. Sometimes, pressing it will actually activate a completely different function in the Bluetooth system.
I was just going to replace the whole thing eventually since they aren't terribly expensive, but I did think about blowing some compressed air in there just to see if something was physically stuck in it.
