Sounds like you live in paradise!

Here electricity is around US$ 70 cents for ONE kWh.
How much in the US or Canada?

Fuel for the car was about US$ 3.- for one liter last week, or about $15 for a gallon.

For emission reasons we aren't allowed to put wood into a stove if doesn't have a catalytic filter for getting rid of the minute particles in the exhaust fumes, and a smoking chimney gets you fined.

In Europe before you know it they won't even let you use toilet paper. In my area gas is about $4.80 per gallon. If we get to have to pay $15 there would be a coup d'etat I think.

Dear foama; looking at my electricity bill here. On peak I pay 17 cents a kWh, mid peak is 11 cents /kWh, off-peak is 8 cents / kWh.

So you pay 10x the cost for electricity, and more than a dollar more for gas per litre.

I meet some cousins from Europe next week, I better not bring up hydro when we start talking about their trip to Niagara Falls lol. They are gonna be shocked when they see the gas prices in the States. (and food)

I'm just glad the prairie provinces have cheaper gas than the rest of Canada for my vacation to Manitoba soon and my 4 cylinder rental. Living large! Might even put on the AC

I honestly believe that on this forum, this is tongue in cheek...

But Imagine people actually thinking that, and then replying to an OP Canadian thread...

Yeah it's tounge and cheek until you crack a joke from the other side of the aisle, then it's political and the ban hammer drops.

What are you talking about? Who's been banned from the other side of the aisle?
